Yes, you will travel with a group (usually 52 to 78 people, but sometimes less). However, our trips are not a typical group-travel experience. Our daily activities are limited to small groups of eight to 12 people, with a maximum of six for wildlife viewing. We offer options throughout the expedition to ensure that your trip is customized to your interests. On any day we can tailor the experience for you if you desire. We are also available to arrange special touches such as birthday or anniversary parties. Whatever your preferences, simply ask, and we will ensure that your trip fulfills your expectations.

Keep in mind that one of the benefits of group travel is that you can experience things you cannot do on your own. Things like skipping the line at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg for a private tour without the crowds, chartering an entire train along the Trans-Siberian Railway, or an after-hours dinner at a temple.

Yes, there are electrical outlets available, so you can charge your cameras, tablets, phones and more while we fly. 


Each passenger will have access to an iPad for on-board entertainment. This includes a wide assortment of the latest and classic Hollywood movies and TV series as well as documentaries and music collections. We also provide Bose noise-canceling headphones. The iPad is additionally used for our on-board lecture system. When a lecturer is speaking, guests listen through the Bose headphones and follow the presentation on the iPad.


The process depends on the journey. For TCS World Travel journeys, each guest will receive two seat assignments approximately one month before departure. In the middle of the trip, everyone rotates to their second seat assignment. For the Four Season Private Jet Journeys, guests choose one seat for the entire trip.

Our jets are designed to provide uniform experiences. All seats recline (or lay flat depending on the jet) and you have ample legroom no matter where you sit. Private jet travel ensures you’ll get a relaxed, comfortable experience regardless of where you sit.


It depends on the jet and the trip. Our jet with the 52-seat configuration offers Italian-leather flatbed seats. Our jet with the 80-seat configuration provides leather business class-style seats that recline about three-fourths of the way. The 45-degree incline with 45 to 52 inches of legroom is similar to a comfortable leather recliner.

Both configurations offer plenty of room to stand, stretch or move about. And we never fly overnight, so you’ll spend every night in a cozy bed.

If you are traveling solo and prefer the privacy of your own room, you will be charged a single supplement. This ensures that single travelers will get the same type and size rooms as our double occupancy travelers.

Your initial deposit may be paid by credit card, check or wire transfer. The second deposit and final payment must be paid by check or wire transfer, which are directly deposited into a trip escrow account that is fully insured by the U.S. government to ensure the safety of your payments.

Your trip

After you book a trip, your dedicated Guest Services Manager will send you a confirmation packet that includes details about your expedition. We will send you more detailed information and necessary documents as your trip gets closer. We generally send information eight months, five months and one month before your departure.

Your Trip

Yes, at most locations you can upgrade your room at an additional cost. All rooms on our journeys are either just below suite category or, in some cases, suites. You will be sent detailed hotel descriptions prior to your trip and can select upgrades at that time. Rooms are subject to availability, so we suggest you submit your requests as quickly as possible.

Once you book, you will be assigned a dedicated Guest Services Manager to answer any questions and ensure that you receive all important trip-related information and documentation. Your Guest Services Manager can also help you make special arrangements, including any upgrades.

Do I need visas for my trip? 

Each itinerary has different visa requirements. You will receive detailed information on the requirements for your journey after signing up. Please note that every guest will need a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the travel dates. On trips that travel to China, you will need a passport that is valid for at least 12 months beyond the travel dates. In addition, the passport must have the required number of blank pages according to the needs of the journey. 

What should I pack? 

We suggest you bring comfortable clothing that can be layered. One of your most important items is a pair of comfortable shoes for walking. Our guests generally dress up a little for the welcome and farewell dinners, but this is their choice and is certainly not required. Also, we will find dressier dining rooms at many of the hotels where we stay. For this reason, you may want to bring a few dressier outfits. A more detailed packing list with specific clothing recommendations will be sent to you closer to the departure date. While you’re packing please keep in mind that laundry services are available at most of our hotels. We also recommend you leave extra space in your suitcase to bring home memories of your journey.

What happens if I have to cancel my trip before departure or return home early due to an emergency?

We offer optional Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance to U.S. and Canadian (except Quebec) residents. Travel insurance covers lost or delayed bags, accident/illness hospitalizations and physician costs, along with additional emergency medical evacuation and assistance. Please note that Medicare alone does not cover payment of medical services obtained outside the U.S. If you have supplemental health coverage, review your policy to be sure you are covered outside the country. Information on the optional trip cancellation insurance for your specific trip will be provided after you book.

Do I have to be in good physical condition to join the trip?

All guests are expected to be in active good health. It is important to note that all guests and staff must get clearance to participate on trip from their personal physician. We recommend you take the trip brochure with you when visiting your personal physician. There will be walking excursions at nearly every location and you will need to climb stairs at some sites as well as when you board and disembark the aircraft. We usually have some early morning departures and late night activities, and will travel through different time zones. You may, of course, choose to have a day off and relax at any location.

How is safety addressed during the trip? 

Your personal safety is of the utmost importance. Whether you are in the air or on the ground, we have procedures in place to allow you peace of mind when traveling. Traveling by private jet allows us the type of control over safety and security issues we would not otherwise have. If it becomes necessary, we can change destinations or flight paths, even while we are en route. Access to the jet is controlled and every piece of luggage placed onboard is screened and remains under the watchful eye of our staff.
